Highly recommended & well-written.
This is a very special book. Rabbi Steinsaltz was a profoundly important interpreter of Jewish theology. The author had the good fortune of lucking into a position as his occasional unofficial chauffeur, and thereby spent many hours with his Teacher over the course of decades. The book is written in a clear & accessible prose, with humor and grace. Yet it still respectfully explores foundational aspects of Jewish thought, doing so in refreshing & compelling ways. I could not put the book down and have already bought another copy to give as a gift. Highly recommended.
