Fast lens and high quality images, what's not to like
1 of 1 found this helpful I have been using a Sony RX-100 IV loaned by a friend and liked it but the 70mm equivalent lens just didn't have enough reach. The newer Sony's have a 200mm lens on the long end but you give up sensitivity and in a small format camera you need every f-stop you can get.
I have taken a series of pictures with both cameras and the Canon consistently looks better, properly rendering colors rather than making all the foliage green and ignoring the yellow tints like the Sony. Same is true for flesh tones, and this is in camera RAW where it is most important.
Viewfinder is brighter on the Canon and the menu system makes use of the touch screen unlike the Sony.
