3 of 3 found this helpful I heard an interview with the author and this expose' of the problem which we have in DC, a huge center of wealth and power, scares me. I purchased this book and Extortion to not only read, but to lend out because I feel that some of each of the large corporations, big union, wealthy people and politicians have a great game going playing the IDIOTs (In Denial Intensely Obscuring TRUTH from oneself) against each other. We are not in a "whose team is the least harmful contest" when we see ObamaCare closing down small doctor's practices and Dodd-Frank barring small banks because they are incapable of allocating the resources which it takes to comply. There is a moat of regulation/compliance around those who already have it made and the small business is not capable of fording the Moat Of Regulation/Compliance.
My goal in buying this book was to try to take some of The American Puppet Class' eyes off of the bright, shiny object by exposing them to that which they refuse to recognize, but the challenge which I recognize that I face is summed up in this excerpt from the interview of Yuri Bezmenov, KGB defector, in 1985 interview with G. Edward Griffin – “The result? The result you can see. Most of the people who (reeducated) in the sixties, drop outs or half-baked intellectuals are now occupying the positions of power in te Government, civil service, business, mass media, educational system. You are stuck with them. You cannot get rid of them. They are contaminated, They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern.
