It underperformed claims.... Thankfully
4 of 4 found this helpful It may sound odd to be glad a product didn't meet it's claimed performance, but the Igloo claims it lowers internal temperatures 36 degrees below ambient temperatures. In an air conditioned car with temperature set at 68 degrees, that would lower the internal temperature to 32 degrees - and freeze the contents. We worried about that, since we used it to hold drinks and insulin on a long car trip (12 days, 5500 miles) and didn't want to freeze the drinks and, certainly not the insulin. At first we checked the contents at each pit stop, but gave that up after the second day. The contents were definitely chilled, but never close to freezing (didn't have a thermometer inside the cooler).
In fact, it worked perfectly for our needs and I'd recommend it to anyone not hoping to store ice cream....
