Sea of Love - Pacino returns strong
Al sort of faded a bit in the mid 80’s with some box office and critical duds like Revolution, Cruising and the OK Author Author.
Becker’s Sea of Love marked a return to engaging character driven thriller and some much needed box office success. I think this film reinvigorated his career as Godfather 3 and an Oscar nominated supporting role in Dick Tracy followed soon after into the 90’, a period which I think represents Pacino’s strongest body of work. Scent of a woman, Heat, Carlitos Way and The Insider.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
I realize the ending is a sour note but I like Jaws or Raiders of the lost Ark, this remains one of the few films I sit through once per year with an ear to ear grin. Not so much on the content, neither film is a comedy but for my shear enjoyment of the experience of watching the film. I love the chemistry of Newman and Redford, the scenery and the light hearted nature of the direction by George Roy Hill. As far as the disc is concerned. the blu ray is a little grainy and soft and could do with a studio 4K upgrade some day.

The plan could have changed the world
Decent historical movie. Director Brian Singer keeps pace brisk and injects a fair amount of suspense despite audience knowing final outcome.
