Good for the price
0 of 1 found this helpful I wanted to see what new technology had over my old Senn HD600's. I bought a HIFIMAN Ananda and LOVED it! Thought I'd try an Audeze and found these here for half the price of an online shop. They do not sound as open, wide or clear as the Ananda's and the imaging (creating the feeling of real instruments, seperate from one another on a stage in front of me) is just not there with these Audeze phones. Both use planar magnetic tech, but the Ananda's sound much better and, in my opinion, are worth the extra $. I am burning both in and, at about 60hrs of playtime, they are both improving, but the Ananda's remain much more pleasing to listen to over the EL-8's. These are good sounding, comfortable headphones for the money, but in comparison the Ananda's are great headphones (at twice the price).

Nice intro to these fish, but I can't agree w some of the fish husbandry suggestions from this author.
