Well built PCB edge connectors (that take computer ribbon cable)
It got here quickly. It is well built and simple to use. Actually, there are 5 of them. One end slides over the 17 above and 17 below "fingers" on a Printed Circuit Board's edge, and the other end takes on a 34 pin computer ribbon cable.

Really strong supports, easy removal and installation
It is very easy to install, just a flat screwdriver and a stick to prop up the tailgate, and 20 minutes. Pop one of the clips with the flat screwdriver, remove that side of the strut, rotate it to give the screwdriver access to the other clip, pop that, and it's off. Replacement is just snap the new one in. The tailgate goes up quickly. It actually requires a force to bring it down now. No problem.
