Crew figures for 1/35th scale boats.
This product is getting hard to find having to order from Hong Kong. The kit is ideal for anyone looking to crew a boat in 1/35th scale. The figures are in pieces for assembly as required(typical military figure kit). However, apart from the figures, there are very few equipment pieces. There are no sidearms or weapons but these can be had by other figure kits on the market. Typical PT boat crews were 11 to 17, the kit has up to 10 figures. The figures are very well formed with very minimal sanding after construction and painting will bring out very detailed figures. The figures are made as enlisted crew, no officers(2) are included although the use of tan paint might overcome that. Overall, a very good starting point for a complete crew.

A good well built 1960's era model, of strong plastic, very unique and the basis of a very detailed model for an experienced model maker of today.
This model product from Revell is a product of the late '60's when model kits were unique and interesting. The precise detail of today's models is lacking in this one BUT this one was the standard back then with most manufacturers. NOBODY else has made one like this. Made one in the late '60s but was later stolen. This model is my 2nd one(deja vu)`. I have continued building model kits thru the years into rtmt which satisfies my creative urge. Thanks to the internet, I can detail this boat heavily, seeing how much detail that was left out. I found the correct designation of the boat and 4 pages of detail for the engine plus the inside layout with many changes. They left a guide for the mid wall but never put it in and so on. It is an LCP(R), USN but will be a more accurate UDT mission craft...RHE

Very detailed model with great instructions, well made parts.
The M26(M25+M15trailer) is an eye opener when you open the box. The detail is really great. I will not build it for a while BUT I have it when I'm ready. I have watched online videos on this vehicle as a reference source. It uses a chain drive on the tractor rear wheels, you just need thin wire for the lubricator's fluid lines(the M26 leaves a trail of oil behind it!) The 4 crew supplied is too few, videos show 6-7 getting out of the cab. The vise is missing from the left side step. Also, more crew bags and weapons would be great. The cable driives are very detailed and the secondary trailer equipment is all there. Some pictures have shown a radio antenna above the driver so a radio set in the cab would be nice. The Eduard metal will greatly increase the finished detail. The instruction sheet is the best in detail assembly and operation. As this is a cab over engine, a full engine would be nice but the side panels would have to be separate parts. This is a 5 star model well worth the money(I've been doing this for over 50 years, detail is everything).
