Last of the large circulating silver dollars

Last of the large circulating "silver dollars". The obverse (front) honors WWII war hero, 5 star general and 34th president of the United States Dwight D. Eisenhower. The reverse (back) celebrates Apollo 11, the landing of men on the moon. This dollar minted for 8 short years (71-78) immortalizes a special and unique period in American history. It is a great conversation starter and collector piece. The "silver clad" versions contain about 1/3 ounce of silver.
