    Generac Maintenance Kit 5W-20 Synthetic Oil for 20kW - 26kW Generator 0J93230SSM
    Oct 14, 2022
    Everything just as advertised
This product is exactly what it was advertised to be. However, after purchasing this product, and downloading an instruction manual that I couldn't find, I realized that I didn't need to replace every thing offered in this package. I watched three YouTube videos on how to change the oil on my Generac 22KW generator, and replace the spark plugs. None were not entirely correct on their methods of servicing the generator. So my advice is; you really can service your own generator if you know what to do, read the manual. Then decide what you need to purchase to accomplish what needs to be serviced. Again, nothing wrong with what I purchased. FYI: Recommended oil change is two years or every 200 hours. My unit is five years old and has 73 hours on it. I checked inside the oil fill cap for a whitish slime inside the cap. This indicates moisture condensation in the engine. There was hardly a trace, so I will wait one more year to change the oil. All the You Tube video folks said their spark plugs looked really good when removed. So I'm not changing my plugs yet. By the way, the plug gap is .40. My units starts and runs well. The air cleaner looked like new, I'll wait to change that also. I live in Michigan, most of when my unit runs is after an ice or spring wind storm, so no dust in the air. Your location may be different.
