Believe the Carbon Goodness!!!!
I shopped around for carbon bars for awhile. My hands tend to suffer after a long day in the saddle, and the OneUp bar was highly recommended. I already own one of their dropper posts, and their workmanship and customer care are tops. So it's no surprise that these bars simply WORK. Stiff and responsive, yet compliant where they need to be. These guys and gals do their homework and it shows in their handlebars. My hands no longer feel like they've been through a medieval torture rack after a long day in the saddle; steering accuracy as well as feedback is spot on. You won't be disappointed. If it's good enough for them in Squamish, it's good enough for you on your local trails. Highly recommended.

Stay with factory Shimano parts
Tried aftermarket lockrings [i.e., off-brand, Chicom-made "Alligator"] and they didn't fit any hubs I had: Reynolds, Shimano, Industry Nine. No joy. Ended up biting the bullet and ordering the more expensive Shimano parts. Totally worth it. Just stick with factory Shimano for things like this.
