Fluval Advance Electronic Aquarium Heater 300 Watt

Modernized heater.

I've been in the aquarium hobby for about 45 years now, and the basic technology behind most of the heaters has remained amazingly consistent. This heater changed that with a design that keeps it away from fish and plants. The best thing, though, is a very readable (from outside the tank, even 5 feet away from the tank!) temperature of the tank and by color codes, the relation to the setting of the heater. Anyone who has had to zero a heater setting in by accessing the heater, tweaking it, waiting for the water to reach that temp, tweaking it...etc..ad infinitum will appreciate this heater!

FINNEX - 48" PLANTED+ 24/7 AUTOMATED FRESHWATER LED

Quality product. Easily installed and well shipped.

I bought this as an add-on to my existing Finnex Ray2 Aquarium LED Daylight, 48-Inch. The Ray2 is much more intense but narrow when covering front to back so I had a dark zone in the upper rear of the tank. I didn't want to spend what it would take to get two Ray2's so I added this one. It covers the dark area and punches the light down fairly well, but not as well as the Ray2. I have a 90 gallon so it is about 6 inches deeper than this light can go, but it would probably be just fine for 75's and such.
