Sad story
This book details life among the Bergholz Amish. It is well written, easy to read and hard to put down and difficult to read at the same time because the story is so tragic. The life described is not normal for the Amish, fortunately. The lessons one can learn from the mistakes made will go a long way to prevent a recurrence. The methods used to control others are universal and one does well to be aware of these strategies. Sad book but very informative of human nature at its worse.

Kicks food up a notch!
Have used it for years. Imparts a wonderful flavor to the foods used. Far superior to other vanillas available in grocery stores.

Elegant and functional
I love this butter dish. Our youngest son gave me one years ago which I used all the time. Then I accidentally broke it and was very sad about losing it. I went online to see if I could not find a replacement so I was delighted to find one. The cover is deep enough that it does not touch the butter stick on the base. Like that. And it is elegant besides being functional. A+++++
