Please bring back the previous model. This new one is not an upgrade
Unfortunately this is a GUM product that missed the mark in an attempt to improve on a previous design. The old style was not perfect but held the floss much tighter during use. This one permits slack that lets the floss come off of the two 'fingers' so must be used much too gently to even operate. The 'pro' to the new one is the floss advancing feature which is a great idea and works very slick. It just doesn't have any tension so the floss is too loose and has to be advanced for every tooth trying to keep it tight. Too bad that the old model is no longer available

Top quality heavy-duty product.
They certainly can handle everyday needs but for those I use typical household scissors instead and reserve these for more utility kinds of tasks. More of a specialty tool that I utilize for tough-to-cut tough materials like leather, fabric, rope, branches etc. with ease.
