Still the best.
I have used a KB38 for about 25 years now. Love it! Can't knock it over! I found myself needing another stand and I looked for another KB38...but was somewhat dismayed by the reviews that indicated after Hamilton moved production to Asia, the quality had suffered greatly and the stands weren't as good as they once were. Admittedly, I took a chance in ordering another one. But, after receiving, using it and pouring over the little details...I will strongly state that it is every bit as good as my original KB38. The riveting is tight. Chrome is well applied. The rubber cradle, top and bottom seem to be as substantial as my original. I actually like the new knobs better than the round ones on my original. Perhaps Hamilton took the criticism to heart and upped their game offshore...whatever they did, I find that, to me, they were successful. Very pleased.
