Excellent bargain lens
A little heavy, built like a tank, so good technique is important, but IQ is quite amazing.

Needs a serious firmware update
4 of 22 found this helpful Bad metering, yellow cast to jpegs, lack of midtones in images, overall mediocre IQ. This should have been an amazing camera given the options for tweaking and 4K and maybe I got the lemon, but despite any efforts through modifying WB color and experimenting with different metering modes I had trouble shooting acceptable images. Given all the positive reviews I was expecting a different. camera. As I said, maybe I got the proverbial eBay lemon, but now realize I should have bought a used NEX 5N instead, saving a bunch of money.

Cheap and Effective
