Sticking with what a I know
Replaced an old and battered one given sterling service. No need for a scanner.

Prepared to pay for education.
Bought this only for the cord plug, not available from Ryobi as a separate spare. This must be a very early model as it is manufactured by a major golf card producer with the name of the removable plug supplier, not molded into the cable. Available for $19 including shipping. Doubt has any use for other spares as totally different in appearance and dimensions from my 48v charger. Might be of use to a golf cart owner.
It is better than expected as I can de-solder the contacts and connect a heavier gauge two wire cable: the ground is not required for the Ryobi Mower/
For the marginal cost increase bought a new plug: no de-soldering.

Always a concern with used equipment that it will not operate correctly. In this case, no problems.
