The Canny Collar is the best dog training tool you can buy. It's safe and gentle for your dog, and it's simple and easy for the owner. It's a little more expensive than other types of "halter collars," but its features and design makes it worth a few extra dollars. Most halter collars lead from underneath the dog's mouth; the Canny Collar lets you lead and direct from the back of the head, like a typical leash. We have used it recently on two dogs -- a 5 mo old Border Collie and a 1 year old German Shephard. The results were amazing. Walks and training have become much more enjoyable for the dogs and their humans. Not all dogs take to it immediately, but in our case, it was only a few blocks before they settled in. It's important to read the instructions, so you know how to correctly put it on the dog, and how to correctly walk your dog and use the collar.
