A Wonderful Return to the Way It Used to Be!
0 of 1 found this helpful I was extremely happy to have won the auction for this item, as I missed out on the chance to pre-order it at retail (No thanks to scalpers and their online buying bots)! I was also very pleased to see that the seller was offering this item at retail price, instead of some ludicrous double markup. I have been a fan of the Metroid series of games since the very beginning in 1987 with the first Metroid game on the Nintendo Entertainment System. When the series transitioned into a first-person-shooter-style game in 3-D on the Nintendo GameCube, I could not get into the series! Fast forward to the present day, and this new title was announced as a return to the previous side-scrolling 2-D style of gameplay... I was ALL IN!!! This game is beautiful in art style (graphics are fine... I don't need Ultra 4K visuals... as that usually means the game is devoid of story and character) and extremely engaging (if not very difficult) in terms of gameplay! I would highly recommend it to seasoned veterans of the franchise as well as newcomers!!!
