Solid, well built head. Heavier than I imagined
The tripod ball head is solid and sturdy, well built. It is great to have the friction adjustment, it is heavier and larger than I expected for mobility. The screw and tightening mechanism had scratches and some paint chipped off. I'd expect it to be perfectly clean as it is a new product. The edges aren't totally smooth either, these parts shown in the photo are sharp.

Sharp image, extremely heavy lens. NOT MADE TO LAST, lens body is wobbly and coming apart, problems with focusing since first year.
We have a photographer community that really like Sigma Art Lenses.
After reading many articles, reviews and product comparisons, I decided to go with this lens with high expectations.
After about a year of regular use, the lens is coming apart.
I have a sony lens that I have used on its side and its still going solid.
At first, the autofocus started failing, and the lens wasn't detected by the camera in the middle of photoshoots.
Right now, the lens is all loose and I feel it will come apart in any second. Notice the wide gap the lens has in the middle, right beside the white text, also in the video.
I take care extreme care of my equipment, keep it in a padded case, and I never lend it to anyone.
Great lens for portraits and all around use, super fast aperture, the images are extremely sharp but not sure any more if this is enough to counter the extreme weight and size of the lens and the fact that it isn't made to last.
I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT FOR PURCHASE, THINK TWICE ABOUT IT OR LOOK FOR OTHER ALTERNATIVES THAT WILL LAST LONGER, I EXPECT MY EQUIPMENT LAST FOR YEARS. IF YOU'RE OK FOR YOUR LENS TO LAST ABOUT A YEAR OR SO, GO FOR IT, BESIDE THE TREMENDOUS WEIGHT IN YOUR BAG IT WS A GREAT LENS TO WORK WITH.
