Great camera for motion shots!

The D500 is lighter than my D810, so more comfortable to carry around. Fits the hands well.
Not great battery life, so keep an extra battery charged. I love the tilt screen. I use it when on a tripod, using back button focusing going for critical sharpness. Also when the camera is set low, the tilt screen makes that easy to see.
Massive amount of focus points. So when in AF mode, it is easy to catch even smaller birds in flight.
The D500 also has a lot of different settings for taking movies. You can select multiple grades of recording, higher or lower resolution, frames per second, quality type functions.
Great camera to have for nature photographers and sports photographers.
