Alpha dog: the good, bad and Ugly
I find the Primos Alpha Dog light and easy to carry. Sounds are very good and loud. I have harvested several Coyotes, a bunch of Crows and called in a Bobcat, several hawks and an owl. Cons: Range is not as good as advertised and is about 100 yards. I have put an external antenna on it that helps. Also mounted on a tripod increases range as tall grass will reduce the range. Downloading sounds can be a bit complicated but there is plenty of information online. Also the instruction booklet is not very clear but information is available online. Overall, a nice compact unit in my opinion.
