This is a classic recording, now in improved sound. CDs are contained in a deluxe presentation hardcover book. This Warner re-release is an improvement over the original CD release and a vast improvement over the botched EMI Great Recordings release.

Refined, characterful, "old-fashioned" Mozart.

This is refined, characterful, beautifully played "old-fashioned" Mozart. Szell, a good conductor of Mozart, and a reduced Cleveland Orchestra provide excellent support. Casadesus' playing is elegant and phrases are well-shaped. Nothing feels rushed and nothing drags.
