Super quiet, super compact, super fun!

I purchased a PS3 Super Slim to replace my trusty original PS3 Phat that had soldiered on for over 10 years before finally conking out, if this one lasts as long I'll be happy. The first thing you notice is just how tiny and light it is, I mean, it's *tiny*. The second thing, is that they have replaced the nice sliding disc mechanism with a very cheap-looking sliding door. The door is spring operated and opens with the press of a button whether the console is powered on or not. The console itself looks cheap and nasty on photographs, but out of the box and sat under the TV, it actually looks very smart and nicely designed. The 500GB should be more than enough to accommodate a decent-sized collection of digital games. Great console, great price. Highly recommended for PS3 fans.
