Look fantastic
These really set off the look of the van, and give it a more meaty stance. I liked them so much I purchased an extra set just in case of loss/ damage.

A Must Have
My Jazz collection isn't huge, consisting of around 170 LPs and CDs. Why this performance set wasn't a part of it sooner is sad indeed.
This is an excellent box set. Legendary performance recorded by one of the great recording engineers. Sound quality is excellent. Most audiophiles will be more than happy.
This should have been one of my first 10 Jazz purchases.

Money well spent
11 of 11 found this helpful I was skeptical about claims of CD transports being better than CD players or universal players, because overall a bit is a bit is a bit, right?
At this time I am running a Cambridge Audio dacmagic to downstream components that are unforgivingly revealing at times. The Audiolab replaced a Denon 1920 universal player, still functioning well after 14 years, and has a well regarded transport.
The improvement claims are true. This is not snake oil. Even with a 9 year old Cambridge dac, the improvement across the board was like going from a good 400 dollar cd player to maybe what I would expect from say 5 times that price. Listening to CDs I've had for years revealed details I've never heard, as well as more organic tones from Acoustic instruments.I would have been more than happy if those were the only improvements. But there were many more, but the dynamics were what really floored me, and the bass really tightened up.It was a bit like an upgrade in both wattage and current in a power amp.
the Audiophile Man on YouTube has a review on the Audiolab CDT that says it perfectly. This thing is heavy and built like a tank. Highly recommended.
