Take your chances, it might work, a lot cheaper than a new one
1 of 1 found this helpful I took the fob which appeared to be OEM, to a Toyota dealer. They said it cannot be matched up with any other car then when it was produced
I asked a local high-quality locksmith whether he could reprogram the fob, and he said he has had mixed results. I.e. the trunk wouldn’t open was his example, even after programming
I took it to a local locksmith and he said that he has had mixed results with these aftermarket OEM refurbished key fobs, for example, on the jeep he just did he couldn’t get the trunk release. I’d say take your chances, I ended up buying a dealers old fob
