Very nice lens!
This lens is nice and sharp, a lot better than the lens that the camera originally came with. A+++!

Rugged transistors!
I use two of these as pass transistors for a 13.8 volt, 50 amp DC linear power supply regulator. They work flawlessly. One thing to note is because these are 50 amp Ic(max) rated parts, the base and emitter pins are larger in diameter than a standard TO-3 part (about 0.55 inches diameter). Therefore, if you use TO-3 sockets with these, you need to slightly enlarge the socket pins to fit the transistor leads. Push an appropriate diameter drill or sewing needle through the socket, then check the pin fit. It should take moderate force to press a transistor pin in. If not, make the socket connection slightly larger and try again. Attempting to brute force the pins into a standard socket will crack the glass insulators on the transistor and destroy it (guess how I know). If you open the socket pins too much and the fit is loose, do not use that socket or else it will just burn under load. Good luck!

Best solder I have ever used!
I used Radio Shack silver bearing solder in the past and it was by far the best solder ever. Now that I can't get it anymore, I gave the Cardas Quad Eutectic solder a try, based on a lot of good reviews online. Well, all I can say is, hard to believe but the Cardas solder is MUCH better than my former favorite! It wets the joint easily, flows well and solidifies shiny bright silver. All the great things I've read about this solder are true. It is the best solder you will ever use!
