great replacement form my broken remote.
It is the original remote that came with the receiver. It functions perfectly. It is in like new condition.

great idea, but I forgot to check my cables to see if it would work
Its a great idea, however, on the cables I have there are plastic strain reliefs on the cable just before the connector. The throat of the tool is too narrow to pass over these strain reliefs making it impossible to get the tool to the connector. If you make your own cables and they do not have these plastic protectors, then this tool will work fine.
