Fel-pro VS50569R Engine Valve Cover Gasket
Jul 31, 2018
Fel-pro VS50569R Valve Cover Gasket - solved my oil leak problem
I had used an Enginetech valve cover gasket for my 94 Miata which leaked immediately despite me using all the proper procedures (dab of silicone in the 6 recommended places, proper bolt tightening sequence, proper torque etc). The "improved" Fel-pro VS50569R came recommended so I gave it a try - worked like a charm - no more leaks. It's cheaper than the factory Mazda gasket (which is good too) so I consider it a good value.
ELM327 USB V1.5 Modified OBD2 for Ford ELMconfig CH340+25K80 chip HS-CAN/MS-CAN

Works great once you find the right driver
I'm using this along with FORScan and my ancient Win XP laptop for diagnostics on my Ford vehicles and it works great. I had a frustrating time getting it up and running though and finally figured out it was the driver. A small CD or DVD comes with the unit but Windows could not find the right driver on there. I found one on line that appeared to be correct for the ELM327 chip and XP. Windows gave me all the right messages but the adapter/laptop would not connect to the vehicle. I finally found another website (for a competitors OBDII adapter - Total Car Diagnostics) and they provided a whole bunch of different drivers to try and some great instructions. I believe their unit has the genuine ELM327 chip and is a little pricier because of that. I think the chip in this unit is a ELM327 clone and it needs a driver specific to that clone chip - kinda strange that they don't include the correct driver on the disk but maybe I was doing something wrong?? Anyway, once the correct driver was installed it worked perfectly. It would be nice if the HS-CAN / MS-CAN switch was labeled but for this price I'm being picky with a comment like that - I was able to use trial and error to figure out which was which and I labeled it myself. I don't believe you can hurt anything by having it in the wrong position. Bottom line, this is an excellent piece of hardware if you're willing to do some legwork on the driver issue - if not you might want to check out the higher priced competition as mentioned above.

CASIO MRW-210H-1AV (5474) 'Dive' Rotating Bezel Black Resin 50mm Working
Feb 19, 2020
Just be aware that this watch is absolutely HUGE!
Can't really complain about the watch - great value and good Casio quality. However, it's HUGE. - far too big for my relatively scrawny wrist. I should have done my homework on the dimensions or gone to find one at the local big box to see it in person. I've had a lot of large "diver's" watches over the past 30 years and never felt like any of them were too big. I had read a review on this watch's smaller brother, the MRW-200 series, that said the watch was too small and must be a unisex watch and real men should get this one instead. Don't believe it - I'm pretty sure the MRW-200 is plenty big and manly - the MRW-210 is just comically big. Unless you like the look of an enormous watch or have wrists the size of other people's ankles I'd look for something with a smaller diameter. If you're an actual diver I would not trust the rotating bezel to time your air supply - it moves far too easily in either direction to stay put during a dive.
