whoever said sony make speakers?
well, they are made in uk for sony, actually,
...and feature a 180mm polyprop bass and 25mm silk dome tweeter
very good indeed at any price and a high-spec crossover inside
there is the original with a three-hole fixing main driver ported lower rear
and the later se version with four-hole fixing and gold-coloured terminals
the latter version featured a double magnet, this I don't know for sure
highly recommended for an unobstrusive sound and full bass if present
