Back to the past.
10 of 13 found this helpful I used to install antennas about 50 years ago to receive three stations. Looks like we have come full circle.
I live about 40 to 50 miles from the transmitter through mountains and over water. I have one station that uses VHF low band still and just couldn't receive it without the proper antenna. Looks like most all antenna made today eliminates the low band. I tried a smaller antenna that received all but VHF low and it did not work for that one station.
The antenna is unwieldy and big but it does work well with out a rotor which I could not use anyway. If you don't have any VHF low stations then this is not the way to go.
