Does what it's supposed to do
I was always having intermittant issues with my plasma machine initiating a cut (since the machine & torch were new. I replaced the old torch parts that aren't changed out as frequently as the tip & electrode...and I haven't had a problem since. I can't say how much (or little) replacing "this" part helped out, but it is certainly doing it's job.
It seems to be of the same quality as the original Retaining Cap (which came with the torch), but I don't know which part/s were causing the problem from the start.

Better Design, Lower Price...
As near as I can tell, the designers/makers of clutch knew what they were doing...as it seems superior to the factory version which I removed from my machine.
I have seen a few other times where another company came along and designed a better product than the original company had (and sold it for a better price)...and it seems that this is another example.
The old version had stamped pulleys, adjustable tension springs (which needed adjustment as the clutch wore), and a somewhat flimsy-looking case.
But this new style has solid pulleys with no need to adjust any springs, and a thick, sturdy outer casing.
Initially, the clutch slipped a little (as expected until it broke-in)...but quickly started grabbing harder until it had the double-belts on my 928D2 letting out a brief screech on each engagement.
And, it seems like it has a lot more gripping power (can't notice any slippage under load) than the factory version when it was in it's prime!
All in all, I believe this a much better option than buying from the factory...as the design seems to be improved in several ways, and it is at least $100 less (which makes that decision a no-brainer to me)!
