CC BEC 2.0 are very good
1 of 1 found this helpful The older CC BEC's are not as good. When CC created the 2.0 series, they made them a lot stouter than the older designs and they definitely hold up well even when running them hard.
They cost more for really good reasons.

Don't use with sealed bearings! It's too small.
This was the 5th axle I bought.
I didn't need the cup seal bearing seats.
No idea why people would want bearings that are exposed to the weather and dirt!
I needed an axle that was 10mm to use with sealed bearings.
The problem is this axle is under sized.
It's 9.5mm, not 10mm.
This is what I found with all the others I bought too.
In my bearings inner races, the shaft is too small and rattles around.
It simply won't work for me due to the movement at the axle it creates.
I bought some 10mmm chrome rod. It's a very close fit in the bearing inner races. I got a 1mm x 10mm dye and threaded the ends. Even the threads are a good fit inside my bearings. The attached image is my axle and this one. I really wanted a bit more length and now my bearings sit on smooth steel instead of threads.
