An indispensable guide for planning a trip to San Francisco
My husband and I are planning a trip to San Francisco and we have found this book to be indispensable! We both pore through it whenever we get a few minutes to spare, mapping out the sights we want to see, places to stay and places to eat. Full-color photographs and "Fodor's Choice" on various attractions help in our decision making. The price rating system helps us stay within our budget. The book is also interspersed with tips about the best times to see certain attractions and sights in close proximity to each other to aid in planning. Information is included about little-known places of interest that we would likely miss without knowing about them from this book. Some of our favorite features are the "word of mouth" testimonies describing personal experiences at attractions and the full-color pull-out tourist-oriented map of San Francisco. I highly recommend "Fodor's 2012 San Francisco" to anyone considering going to San Francisco, even if it is not your first visit.

Durable and easy to put together
1 of 1 found this helpful My daughter had requested this for her 10th birthday. She is completely delighted with the bed and proceeded to put it together (correctly) by herself with no problems. Two 18 inch dolls and one 9 inch doll are happily sleeping in it.

An honest look at "difficult" subjects in the Old Testament
This is the first book that I've read written by David Lamb, but enjoyed it so much I bought another book he authored, "God Behaving Badly".
"Prostitutes and Polygamists" takes a well-needed honest look at passages about sex in the Old Testament that most Christians tend to ignore or casually dismiss. The author did a fabulous job of explaining these apparent inconsistences in the Bible in an engaging and often humorous manner.
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in what the Bible actually says, whether their viewpoint is as a Christian, Agnostic, Atheist, or another religion.
