a new classic
amazingly simple and effective. just finished transferring end-of-season boat tank fuel to automobile. as stated, simply jiggle working end in fluid to be transferred to induce siphon effect and away it goes. transferred several gallons in short amount of time--quicker than squeeze bulb or other style siphons used in past.

Good enough--after tweeking
3 of 3 found this helpful 8 individual adaptors should cover virtually all bore diameters. Rechargeable Li-on battery very good idea--came fully charged. This is a better approach than replaceable batteries which will possibly be "dead" when you need them. Plan to spend time finessing the plastic adaptors--each one has a little injection "flash" left over from the molding process and you will want to sand, file or knife things smooth so you get a good and snug fit when inserted into barrel. Internal threads on barrel insert end are, thankfully, metal rather than plastic. Still, it will ensure long life to WD-40 these threads and run one of the adaptor screws in and out several times to acclimate them for use. I also used compressed air to remove any chaff from the female threads at the adaptor-mounting end of the sighter. I'm left wondering what's the point of the included allen wrench--apparently useful for adjusting the working laser beam assembly--but no instructions on how, why or when to use. I used sighter to set up a Ruger 10/22 whose scope was remounted. This product was a great help--made it possible to do initial sighting at home. It's a given final sighting-in is a range job. I didn't find this product immediately ready-to-use--as I said, taking a little time tuning up the parts--especially the bore adaptors--for a good fit before actually using the bore sighter will lead to long-term reliability.

quality product
This is a replacement for an earlier product of identical features by a different vendor, but which became unreliable after too short a service life. Contacts on "working" micro-usb end began to not make contact thereby failing at charging attempt. This unit has a more finished look in its appearance, has worked perfectly now for 2+ months. Little detail of usb graphic on micro end actually helps to orient fitting cord to device correctly the first time. I use cable to connect Samsung turbo phone charger to Moto X Pure on semi-daily basis.
