Great title
This is a movie adaptation of one of the best ghost stories ever written. I have read the book several times and never tire of it. Of course, some of the detail is missing in the movie, nevertheless, the plot moves very well, and the suspense builds. If this film were made now, there would probably be many more special effects, but the suggestion of the ghosts is very strong and effective enough to give me chills. Ray Milland plays the leading role, ably assisted by Ruth Hussey, who plays his sister. The ingenue, Stella, is beautifully portrayed by Gail Russell, and her father is played by screen veteran character actor Donald Crisp. This movie is well worth watching and will live as one of the fine classic films.

Great mystery series!
J.A. Jance is a great writer. This book is in the Alison Reynolds series, of which I have all the books. Jance carries us along Ms. Reynolds adventures in such a way that it is hard to put the book down. The characters are very real and the descriptions of the settings are quite accurate. We live in Prescott AZ, which is not far from Sedona where the story takes place. We find it interesting to follow the plot as it unfolds in our "neighborhood", so to speak. After reading this book, which is the first in the series, I had to buy the rest!

Half Broke Horses - symbolizes the wild west.
I live in Arizona. This book is about a lady rancher whose holdings were around what is now Seligman and Peach Springs, in northern Arizona. It's a true story. I found it to be very interesting to read how things were back in the early 1900's. The main fight at that time was (and still is) for water. The author, Jeannette Walls, is the subject's grand daughter. She has written several books and is a contributor to the Today Show.
