This UNIT was to revolutionize the dvr field-it seems to have failed.
I bought this unit to replace mine that had quit wqorking. I do not know how this would compare to others as I have only used this type product. The Good: - Has its own hard drive for record and playback like a dvr - Record and playback tv and sports programming using a 160 hard drive capacity. - Record up to 90 hours on the hard drive. - Produce DVD's from your recorder which is easy to use. - My main usage is to record sports matches to show to my players on playback. The Bad: - Has a power supply issue and has to be repaired - No longer supported by Microsoft, so tv guide is not available - No eject button on remote - Sometimes a fickle unit - Is not Hi Def unit
