Only 90 degree attachment with metal gears!
This attachment is the only 90 degree attachment with metal gears. That is critical considering the high stress that is placed on the gear teeth to turn the rotational force at a right angle. The ability to rotate the handle around the tool and lock it, as well as extend it as needed, is vital to holding it in position when using it. Otherwise, the entire tool and bit would rotate when you turn on the drill. As to bits, you are forced to use those with a hexagon base since this is not a traditional drill chuck. If you absolutely must use a bit without a hex base, then you might need a 90 degree drill. But, in a tight space, the drill could be too large. This will work in much tighter spaces. Never hurts to own both tools. While this attachment is pricier by far when compared to other right angle attachments, those cheaper ones will not exert the force needed to cut into wood or even metal with any serious intent, and do it repeatedly. This is truly a quality product that will not let you down and will be a pleasure to have in your tool box.

Good quality switch
Possibly there was a slight model change in this example. The led indicator light remains dimly illuminated when the switch is on. On other models of the D703-PTC, the led extinguishes when the switch is on. Hopefully, this is not a flaw. Functions fine other than that.

No substitue for this part
There is no alternative for this replacement part. I have attempted to fabricate the slotted piece from metal and that doesn't work. It must be plastic so that it can deform slightly as the face screen is rotated up. Bought two in case it wears out again.
