Love NXT!
1 of 2 found this helpful I grew up with Legos and my two young sons have as well. This is our next step to enhancing the endless creative opportunities that come with Legos, and it is fun to be learning it together. The set comes with everything you need to make numerous models for which instructions are included on the software CD. The components themselves are Lego Technics that can be used in conjunctions with any existing Legos you already have. Note that you do need to have a reasonably up to date PC or Mac to use the software and program the NXT brick (see system requirements if you are unsure). Only drawback is that, unlike all the other Legos we own, this one does require 6 AA batteries - rechargeables will be in our future.
