Nice car with bad wheels.
This is a beautiful model but when I put into service on my layout it kept derailing. I took it to the workbench and checked the wheels and all four axles were out of gauge! Brand new model from a long time manufacturer like Rivarossi! I don't know who supplies their wheelsets but I replaced them with Intermountain 33" sets and the car performs perfectly.

Rix HO Uncoupling Tool
I recently converted the fleet of my model railroad to Kadee couplers so had to re-think the uncoupling tools used. I have used small phillips screwdrivers and wooden skewers which worked OK but I saw the Rix uncouplers and decided to give them a try. I have been real happy for the most part. The magnets separated the metal couplers so with a little push you can then separate cars. The only problems I've had are cars tightly coupled are hard to get the tool between, curves are still an issue when the couplers are not lined up straight and finally I have some older cabooses and tank cars that have metal railings so the tool wants to stick to that. I still keep a wooden skewer in my pocket for those situations. Maybe Rix can redesign this tool with a pointed end on ther handle. Overall I give the tool 5 stars.
