The range is either not so good, or something else, but the curser does not respond as well as a wired mouse.

It's just OK
I had to upgrade to this 14,000 BTU unit because the Honeywell 10,000 BTU unit was sooo pathetic. It couldn't cool a closet. The Frigidaire 14,000 BTU portable unit cools as well as a 10,000 BTU Frigidaire window unit I bought 3 years ago. It just barely gets the job done for a 400 sq. ft. room.
