Roland MX1. The best instrument I've bought in years..

I can't quite get over how good the Roland MX1 is. Yes I have the Aira range and they all plug in beautifully, so it is more aimed at people who have Aira. The effects and controls over them are incredible and what's more I can plug in 6 outboard synths and apply the same, tempo sync'd effects, filters, compression, muting, channel volumes etc, over these synths in harmony with Aira (TR8, VT8, TB3, Sys1 etc). Then I can channel my soft synths in as well! Further more, you can switch MX1 into Ableton Live mixer-mode and it then becomes your sound card and control surface for Live. The sound card kicks out such a punch too. My Motu Ultralite is now a door stop. I've also managed to ditch a clutch of leads and the MIDI cables I was linking my Aira kit together is now back in the junk box they have been in for the last 10 years! Aira is linked to MX1 via USB, which works perfectly. The MX1 has completely woken up my total setup. For such a small and unassuming black box, the MX1 is HUGE. The recent price drop is great too. Buy it.
