Really Boosts Weak Signals

It does help with weak signals. Didn't notice it bringing in any signals that I didn't get without it. However, it did clear up the weak ones. I'm now using it to make up for the loss encountered when splitting a single antenna between two scanners. It's cheaper than a diplexer or duplexer and works well with two scanners. Both receive signals as well as they did when only one was hooked to the antenna. With the amplifier in-inline I'm confident I'm not loosing any signal strength by sharing the antenna. The build quality is just okay. The BNC connector on the antenna end is not perfectly round and this makes connecting and disconnecting the antenna a chore. I wish it had some kind of power light so I could tell, at a glance, that it was receiving power and was on. I use a universal external power supply and haven't found an adapter tip that is a perfect fit. A power light would help me to know if the connection is good or not.
