Did not fit without more parts
I tried to install on a 2002 Protege DX with 2.0 and manual.
This engine mount is the one by the timing belt that connects at the passenger side shock tower. But it is only the chassis mount and rubber insert, but not the engine side mount. This is pressed into the chassis mount and I had to cut mine out since it is a press fit. I then found that the diameter of the press fit was wrong and my motor side bracket was a very loose fit into the sheath molded into this rubber grommet.
I returned it and bought a complete assembly (which was cheaper) instead.

Great for the price
It's a direct fit and easy install. For the low price, it is an adequate replacement for worn stock shift knob and torn boot. Minor issues: The shift boot covers up 2 of the mounting holes so you have to cut into it to start the screws; this is covered by a panel so no big deal. The shift knob itself is a close replica of the stock knob but not exact: some of the mold lines are obvious and sharp, and the shiny chromed plastic shift pattern plate looks a little cheesy; the original is brushed aluminum.
But these are very minor gripes considering the cheap price. I am very happy with the knob + boot shipped for under $15!

Vinyl peels after a few months
It’s better than your 20yr old torn up coffee stained one, but this cheap thing will fall apart pretty quickly. Looks nice for a little while, cheap enough to simply buy another!
