David Bowie - iSelect (Mail on Sunday CD)
This was a free CD issued with the 'Mail on Sunday' newspaper.
This isn't exactly a greatest hits CD as it contains only a few hit single releases - 'Life On Mars?', 'Loving The Alien' and 'Time Will Crawl'. I think Bowie chose the tracks himself regarding them as his personal/career milestones. This 'Mail on Sunday' edition missed my radar at the time and I became aware of it by chance looking on eBay. It contains some fairly odd selections - 'Repetition' and 'Fantastic Voyage'('Lodger'), 'Lady Grinning Soul'('Aladdin Sane') among others. I like the CD for its oddity and relative rareness and for Bowie's track choices which aren't all obvious. I bought the CD mainly because it contained 'Some Are' an outtake from the 70's Bowie/Eno period. This is quite a melancholy track similar to those from the 'Low' LP B side (I think you can get the full version on the rare 'All Saints' CD/LP)

Promenades & Pierrots
This is a great book from 1979 about the rise and fall of pierrot style entertainment in the UK towns and resorts mainly from 19th to 20th century. It's all very illuminating with the photos and old posters and Pertwee's writing style is quite engaging and readable

Useful but not its longevity was quite shorter than expected
This is a movement and light sensitive night light that is functional and useful. My problem with it is it's the second one I bought. The first only lasted a year. There could be problems with longevity and durability. It was good enough product for me to give it a second chance.
