The perfect solution to save my pipes from freezing (again).
Though it's great for hydroponics, I will be using it on a system to prevent frozen pipes (connected to an outside thermostat to turn the heating zone ON for 30 seconds and OFF for 30 minutes when it's cold outside). This is the perfect way to get a 1/120 duty cycle. Its very easy to set up and very sturdy - a quality product.

Rescued my old Mower
This thing fit my mower handle perfectly (nice snug fit, no looseness). All the holes lined up too. Good product.
I cut off the damaged part of my old handle with a hacksaw and drilled a hole near the end to hold it on with a sheet metal screw. The whole job took about 15 minutes. I would spent more time than that looking for a new mower, and if I hadn't found this I would have had to purchase another mower ($250 v.s.$15).
A word of warning. I put the part onto the old handle and just eyeballed it to see if it was even. I turned out that I put it too far onto my old mower handle, so that it is a little bit crooked now. My advice is to actually measure it to make sure everything is even. I may still redo the installation but it works fine now.

As good as I could have expected
Some ear plugs work better than others. These make a great seal, are still easy to remove and their comfortable. When I was young I would stuff cigarette filters in my ears at rock concerts, but now my hearing's shot (thank to some close calls in Viet Nam). Maybe these will help preserve what little I have left. Maybe not so much for me but definitely a worthwhile purchase for anyone who faces a lot of noise.
