Lightweight with great features
First off; I already have one of these -- that finally gave up the ghost. I guess that I just played it to death. And when I priced the new stuff I really got sticker shock. I was amazed that I found another one of exactly what
I was looking for, and at a price that was great.
The unit itself has everything i need; great video throughput, controls for all of the extra gadgets such as a vcr/vhs player that I use; but it's real forte is it's internal tuner and amplifiers for the quad sound system that I have in the living room. Besides a very good quality bass reflex woofer unit, all of the other 5 speakers (4 for surround sound) and front speaker are "doubled up" by a matching Pioneer speaker system. The RCA control unit produces incredibly beautiful sound at "good" listening levels because it can use the spatial qualities of the video, TV, and stereo sound from both my controlled TV signal source and the great local Jazz station I have available both over the air, and through the TV signal source.
It's a great unit!!
