Pretty good machine (odd smell for the first few uses, but cleared now). Only problem is the first stage filtration that gets regularly clogged up by my partner's hair (tough, thick - the hair that is) and it's a bit fiddly to keep emptying this.

Diverse, delicious, and fast! Feels like cheating!
This is an excellent collection of recipes, suitable for a multitude of occasions and satisfying a diversity of tastes. The common denominator is the rapidity and ease of preparation and cooking. Chop this, fry that, add a touch of this and this, and voila! All in twenty minutes! Every time I cook with this book I feel like a cheat. How come it's always nice (and appreciated) and yet so damn easy? Ingredients include vegetables, cheese, cream (and more), alcoholic cooking adjuncts including wine (red/white), vin Santi, Massala, Vermouth, a variety of meats, so no shortage of something for everyone.
His ideas are formulated from a wide (and very early) education as a chef from his childhood/young adulthood in Naples and considerable experience from a young age. He does come across as a bit of a "Jack the lad" but don't be put off by his exuberance. This is a great addition to a recipe collection!

Original manufacturer's Dualit timer
After a few years, the Dualit toaster timer will fail, as it's mechanical. Not sure how many years it lasts, but I think it failed at around 6 years or so. Replacing it is incredibly easy and it is reassuring that companies still manufacture quality hard-wearing kitchen appliances in an era that produces rubbish/disposable items that are destined for landfill in only a few years. 6 screws off the bottom of the toaster, 4 wires detached, a short tug of the plastic wheel and two screws later, all done. Takes a few minutes to replace. I hope that replacing the elements when they fail will be as easy! All credit to Dualit.
