Sony UBP-X1000ES 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray Disc Player. Authorized Dealer!

Great universal disc player

This open box deal was great and the unit was in pristine condition as it was double boxed with its original packaging. I bought it primarily for its analog audio outputs, 4K Blu-ray and SACD disc playback, and Internet streaming capabilities. Video is crisp and balanced, and the sound quality exceeded my expectations. I also love the ability to pair up my Sennheiser Momentum 2 wireless headphones so that I can listen to music or watch videos without disturbing anyone else in my home. This and its successor, UBP-X1100ES, are probably the best values for universal disc players.

Tocos Cosmos Volume Pots are a Bargain

I installed one of these 50k pots in place of an Alps RK-27 volume pot in my Pass DIY B1 with Korg NuTube triode preamp, and the difference was quite audible. It sounded like a veil had been removed and I can really hear the music in greater accuracy. The soundstage and imaging improved, and the tone is spot on. I have not heard any channel imbalance whatsoever. I’m glad I purchased a second Tocos Cosmos pot for another future project.

NOS Vintage .01uF/630V Russian K40y-9 PIO Capacitors

These are excellent PIO capacitors that I used to replace the aging Sprague Bumblebee Mylar caps as rectifier diode bypass capacitors in my vintage McIntosh MC240 stereo vacuum tube amplifier. The product exceeded my expectations for reliability and performance. They are constructed incredibly well and were compact in size allowing for easy installation.
