Nice little scale

Whirlpool dryer timer

This is a simple mechanical timer driven by a little electric motor. I didn't take mine apart but inside there must be several microswitches operated by a cam or some such. At the end of any particular cycle the timer turns itself and the dryer off. My dryer does not have a humidity sensor or even a temperature sensor (except for a sensor that will turn the dryer off if it gets too hot). It just runs for a time period and then stops. On Mine the electric timer motor would stop in the middle of a cycle and the dryer would just keep running and never complete its cycle. Easy to burn clothes like that! The timer is controlled by how the operator sets it and by how long a cycle is supposed to run. So, when I saw the timer motor stop, I concluded that the timer itself was at fault. I ordered a new one; it installed easily and now the dryer works the way it is supposed to. By the way, I would never put a used part like this in a dryer unless I had no other choice. You see, I already had a used one...and it wasn't working!

Not a perfect fit.

Bolt holes do not line up perfectly. Had to put tension on it to get the top bolt started in its threads. Otherwise, good quality.
